Watch-functions ageing cycles

The reliability of a product is generally determined by applying accelerated operating cycles, providing optimum reproduction of real conditions of use; the number of cycles is determined based on market information, and the cycle application frequency is adjusted so as to prevent particular wear phenomena:

  • Ageing of time-setting functions (pulling & pressing, rotation)
  • Ageing of winding functions
  • Ageing of push-piece and chronograph functions
  • Ageing of corrector functions
  • Ageing of automatic system
  • Ageing of lubricants by climate and heat cycles
  • Rotating bezel rotation cycles
  • Rotating bezel sand test
  • Ageing of any other movement or case function
