Electromagnetic field test

The watch is exposed on a daily basis to a wide variety of magnetic fields (computers, telephones, magnetic locks, motors…). Depending on their intensity, these magnetic fields can disrupt timepieces, or even cause them to stop. So magnetic field resistance of watch movements is a guarantee of quality, and various standards and tests are applied to this end:

  • Watch magnetic field resistance test as per standard ISO 764 (NIHS 90-10) at 4800 A/m, or up to 320,000 A/m
  • Quartz watch magnetic field resistance test
  • Table clock and alarm clock magnetic field resistance test
  • Determining the temporary and residual effect of a magnetic field depending on the movement orientation znd the field intensity
  • Applying a magnetic field to any device
